What is the process takes place from crude oil into several types of fuels?

Crude oil often dark, sticky liquid. 1st step needs refining this oil. Applied heat till boiling stages boiled oil-producing different type of liquids and gases. Collect this into the distillation column. Generally, crude oil needs to mix with hydrocarbons and to refining into specific temporary and transfer the output gases in the column. During this process, the gases fill-up column, top fill up by more cooling gas and bottom with hottest. Condensation process separate liquids and gases. These products have to clean and further processing than becoming finish products.

@Murali So where did the distillation process takes place? Is it at the oil platform itself?
