What's the future hold in mechanical engineering to invent new technology ?

Everything will be mechanical. This pandemic proves, even more, how man-power can be inconsistent sometimes, wheres mechanical engineering will have the most efficiency in productivity as it has less or close to none human errors.

I think electromechanical is probably the right word. Mechanical machine had almost reached the end of their inventive years until electronics entered the technology and this is what you can see today:
